GBP to MAD Exchange Rate

GBP: Sterling has floated freely since the United Kingdom left the European Exchange Rate Mechanism on 16 September 1992. The Bank of England targets 2% inflation, set by the Government, and does not target an exchange rate. MAD: Bank Al-Maghrib sets a daily central rate for the dirham against a basket of currencies weighted 60 percent euro and 40 percent US dollar, and lets the dirham trade within a fluctuation band around that rate rather than at one fixed number. Under a reform begun in January 2018, Bank Al-Maghrib has twice widened the band — from ±0.3% to ±2.5% in January 2018, then to ±5% in March 2020 — describing this as a gradual, voluntary transition from a fixed exchange rate regime toward a more flexible one.
