GBP to UAH Exchange Rate

GBP: Sterling has floated freely since the United Kingdom left the European Exchange Rate Mechanism on 16 September 1992. The Bank of England targets 2% inflation, set by the Government, and does not target an exchange rate. UAH: Ukraine operates a "managed flexibility" exchange-rate regime: the National Bank of Ukraine intervenes in the interbank foreign-exchange market to cover the war-driven structural shortage of foreign currency and smooth excessive swings, while letting the hryvnia move in both directions rather than holding a fixed rate. The NBU introduced this regime in October 2023, replacing the exchange-rate peg it had imposed at the outbreak of Russia's full-scale invasion, as a transitional step toward a fully floating exchange rate under conventional inflation targeting.
