MYR: Bank Negara Malaysia removed the ringgit's fixed rate against the US dollar on 21 July 2005, introducing what BNM then termed a managed float monitored against a basket of the currencies of Malaysia's major trading partners. BNM's current policy statement describes this arrangement as a flexible exchange rate regime under which the ringgit is market determined; the central bank does not target or advocate any specific level, and it intervenes to ensure orderly market conditions and prevent sudden or large swings. CHF: The Swiss franc floats: the SNB has no exchange-rate target and steers monetary conditions through the SNB policy rate, while remaining willing to be active in the foreign exchange market as necessary. The minimum exchange rate of CHF 1.20 per euro, in force from September 2011, was discontinued on 15 January 2015.
