EGP: In March 2024 the Central Bank of Egypt unified Egypt's foreign-exchange market, moving the pound onto a market-determined rate after years of fixed and multiple exchange-rate arrangements. Banks now set exchange rates according to market conditions, while the CBE continues to hold periodic foreign-exchange auctions as part of its market operations and pursues an inflation-targeting framework rather than an announced exchange-rate target. CHF: The Swiss franc floats: the SNB has no exchange-rate target and steers monetary conditions through the SNB policy rate, while remaining willing to be active in the foreign exchange market as necessary. The minimum exchange rate of CHF 1.20 per euro, in force from September 2011, was discontinued on 15 January 2015.
