RON: The National Bank of Romania describes the exchange rate regime of the leu as a managed float, operating alongside direct inflation targeting — the strategy adopted in August 2005 — with inflation targets as the nominal anchor of monetary policy. The leu has no central rate or fluctuation band and does not participate in ERM II.
